Lucca : In-ter-es-ting

ac milan x pisa

this is a man who was eating by himself in the same restaurant as we were. on the plane to singapore there was "my sweet beret"- another asian man who stole my heart- but i was too shy to take his photo. this time i had to do it, but the second i did he looked over (see photo)(it was meant to be). filled with embarrassment, i could not bear to take his photo again in fears that he would see. alas, it did not stop me from staring.

pisa times two

these statues are pretty cute.

pisa

we went for a day trip to pisa. there were heaps of people doing those stupid tower pictures. i took a picture of some random doing it (see left- ha) and the bottom picture is me tricking vanessa into thinking she had the right position mwa hahahahahaha she was stoked

this is my great zio

he reminds us of one of these guys from the muppets as every morning he sticks his head out of the window and into the cold to greet us

Lucca

ness found a power outlet so the show will continue. this is a bath on the side of the road in the country town where my family comes from. people do not have baths here anymore but i wonder when they did.... (?!)

fruit n veg

my perth summer goal was to make a really cute vegetable garden from scratch. after much deliberation, i figured that i had better not start anything if i were going away soon. i also didnt want to miss seeing things grow. yesterday i went to see the house of Bettina Gabetti and was enthralled by this vegetable garden. this will be my inspiration for when i get back.

Italian Etiquette

this is the house of a famous milanese architect who i can conveniently not remember the name of. normally you have the list of rooms on the side of the front of the building so you can press the button to which apartment you want so they can let you in etc etc. (think elaine buzzing jerry)

anyway, this architect lived here (he designed heaps of the luxe, amazing apartments in the area) and his idea of the doorbell differs. instead of pressing the button and speaking into the loudspeaker, the visitor must press the button and speak into the ear. ha!

Food for Sight

these buildings remind me of food so much. i dont know if it is because i am eating all the time and now everything i think about is food?? probably..
mudcake in an old, warm, candle-laden cafe` running parallel to the yellow sorbet high tea elitist club on the other side of the street. both for particular tastes and palettes. definitely worth zooming in on.

i will most definitely return home looking like a warm bread roll smothered in nutella (my daily routine).
currently i cannot get enough of: nutella, one type of cheese (cannot remember the name: get back to me) and BREAD

Dog Patrol: 3 (?)

i now have an understanding of two things:
>
1. i think if i could be anything in the world that it would be a dog photographer
2. people really hate me looking at their dogs around here
<
in perth it seems like everyone loves their dogs being on parade or something but here they are annoyed at me for staring at them. i dont get it. dogs are allowed everywhere in this city (see above: dog in a clothing store). yesterday at the foot of my stairs to my apartment was a dog catching a lift with his dada. about 95% of the milanese dog population are wearing really cute coats too. i wish i could dedicate my days to dogs.
