the worth of things

so there's this shirt that iv;e have my eye on pre-sale for months and months, and was excited to know that it was available for purchase. i received a virtual slap in the face (to add to my already red slapped face from other internet surprises) when i saw the price. $150...

this may not seem like an enormous number but this is one shirt. one cotton blend shirt that probably cost -$50 to make. working at a certain sale last week lead me to realise just how much (some) companies bump up their price, sometimes even by a ridiculous 300% (and probably more).

i am now down to working 2 shifts a week and feel like i can't afford to buy things that i want anymore. why is everything so overpriced and expensive? and why do some people always seem to be able to afford these things? how can i tell whether the product is legit and actually worth the money or cost $10 to make while its being sold at $650. it is definitely not worth a label.

and there is officially no time to sew anymore.

eugh..
